The choice of accommodation for your language stay in Nice is very important

This is why we have our own internal accommodation service at the school, managed by our accommodation officers Laura and Edurne who are at your disposal to guide and advise you in your choice.

Once you have arrived, Edurne is at your service throughout the duration of your stay.

All our accommodation is carefully selected according to strict criteria and la Charte d’hébergement du Label Qualité Fle, IALC et Eaquals. We perform regular assessment visits and all of our students receive a satisfaction form to fill out at the end of their stay.

We offer you different types of accommodation according to you expectations, wishes and budget.

If you wish to be more independant, our student residences and our hotels may be better for you.

In order to help you choose the most appropriate accommodation for you, please find some guidelines below.

Immersion in the French culture

Host-family with half-board

If you are looking for an “immersion” experience, our “host-family” with half-board arrangement will be the best choice. Living with a French host-family allows you to immerse yourself in the French culture, share meals and chat with your host-family.

Our host-families have worked with alpha.b for a number of years and are able to integrate students into their family as if they were family members.

All our host-families are a maximum of 30 minutes  from the school on public transport (bus-tramway).

You will stay in your own room (single or double) and will receive keys to the apartment.

Breakfast is not always eaten with your host, depending on the time schedule of each person, but the evening meal takes place with the family. This is the ideal opportunity for you to practise your French outside of the classroom.

A couple of weeks before your arrival, you will receive all the relevant information about your host-family: address, names, telephone number, email and a description of the family.

The host-families particularly like it if you send them an email before your arrival so that they can get to know you and organise your transport from the airport or station.

French host without meals

If you wish to more independent whilst still having contact with a French family, our “French-host” arrangement will be the best choice.

You will live with the host, in your own room and you will have access to the host’s kitchen to prepare your meals. You will receive the keys to the apartment so that you can be completely independent whilst still respecting the rules of communal living.

You will have the opportunity to share moments with you host and speak in French.

All our host-families are a maximum of 30 minutes  from the school on public transport (bus-tramway).

In this arrangement, transport on arrival and departure is not included, but can be booked through us before your arrival.

Between students

Student residence

If you wish to be more independent but live in a student environment on the coast, 30 minutes away from the school, our “Student residence” arrangement will be the best choice.

You will have your own studio flat with a bathroom and kitchen.

Once your reservation has been confirmed, you’ll receive the address of the residence and a map showing how to get there.

Arrival and departure transfers are not included in this package. Please book them with us before your arrival.

Residences or hotels

Hotel apartments

If you wish to be more independent and live in a good-quality residence in the very heart of Nice, our “Hotel residences” arrangement will be the best choice.

You will live in a studio flat or in an apartment with private bathroom and kitchen.

Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive the address of the residence and a map explaining how to get there.

In this arrangement, transport on arrival and departure is not included, but can be booked through us before your arrival.

Hotels *** & ****

If you are staying in Nice for a short stay and are looking for high-quality accommodation, alpha.b has selected 2 hotels in the very heart of Nice and near to the school for you.

Breakfast is included in our price.

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive the address of the hotel and a map explaining how to get there.

In this arrangement, transport on arrival and departure is not included, but can be booked through us before your arrival.

Je suis très satisfaite avec ma famille d‘accueil! Joëlle était comme une maman française pour moi. L’appartement était très propre et j’avais tout ce dont j’avais besoin. Elle cuisinait très bien et nous parlions chaque soir ensemble. En plus, elle a fait la lessive pour moi bien qu‘elle ne soit pas obligée de le faire. Pour moi c’était aussi un avantage d’habiter à Cimiez car c‘est très calme. C’était vraiment le bonheur avec Joëlle 🙂

J’ai adoré rester avec Odile et sa famille. Ils sont très sympa et très accueillants. Ils parlaient lentement et clairement avec nous et les repas étaient toujours délicieux.

Ma famille était vraiment super !! Je n’ai jamais reçu un accueil de ce genre, je me suis bien entendue avec tous les membres de la famille (les parents et les enfants), je me suis sentie vraiment chez moi. Ils méritent un trophée !
