Family course & Kids

  • 20 lessons per week (15 hours) morning: 8.45-10.15 / 10.30-12.00
  • Duration: 1 to 4 weeks
  • Dates: the Family course takes place from the the week of 27.05.2024 and between 24.06 and 23.08.2024
  • Accepted levels: all

Course Objectives

  • To allow children to discover the French language or deepen their understanding in a practical and fun way.
  • To help with the development of written and oral skills to allow communication with French speakers in a wide range of real-life situations.
  • To motivate children and to give them confidence in their practise of the language.
  • To help them to discover French culture.

Methodological Approach

  • A communicative, practical and dynamic method as defined in the CECRL.
  • Varied and interactive activities based on real-life communication outside of the classroom.
  • Engaging study materials: written, audio or video.
  • A teaching style that integrates new technology.
  • The pleasure of being able to have fun with a language.

Teaching Program

  • A diagnostic test to determine the language level of participants.
  • The teacher will be available for learning advice or extra exercises.
  • The person responsible for teaching will review the learning process and offer individualised help.

Certificate and Guarantee

  • A certificate at the end of the course showing the level of the course taken.
  • A guarantee of attendance.

An example timetable

  • Monday
  • 8.45-12.00:

    Ice-breaker activities, revision or teaching of the alphabet and numbers, and leisure activities.

  • Tuesday
  • 8.45-12.00:

    Treasure hunt in the old-town, discovery of the Cours Saleya, vocabulary on directions, fruit and veg. Ice-cream tasting.

  • Wednesday
  • 8.45-12.00:

    Restaurant role play, games about the 5 senses, extract from the film Ratatouille, music activities.

  • Thursday
  • 8.45-12.00:

    Teaching outing to Parc Phoénix, vocabulary about plants and flowers, writing a post-card, vocabulary about animals.

  • Friday
  • 8.45-12.00:

    Write and tell a story, teaching about and the creation of a local menu: le Pan Bagnat, buying products and then a cooking and tasting workshop.

Family Course content

This program is aimed at children under the age of 15 who wish to discover the French language or improve their French in small, international groups.

Our young students, between 9 and 15 years old, follow a course of a maximum of 6 participants.

This course for children is both fun and structured by qualified teachers with different educational and linguistic aims every day.

This French course for children offers a communicative and practical approach to the language through little excursions, games and themed outings.

Easily flexible according to the different levels of participants, this program was created to interest your children in the French language and to allow them to learn whilst having fun with their teachers. The teachers specialise in the teaching of French as a foreign language and the teaching is specifically tailored to children.

Your first day

8.30Arrival at school (2 rue d’Angleterre, 06000 Nice). The alpha.b team will show you to your testing room.
8.45-10.15Presentation of alpha.b by the class teacher. Educational and leisure activities, French learning, oral communication.
10.15-10.30Break
10.30-12.00Educational and leisure activities, French learning, oral communication.
13.15 – 15.15Family visit to Nice

French Course for parents

While your children are taking the Kids Course, the parents can choose between the Continuous French or 30+ French.

We guarantee that the parents will have the same schedule as their children from 8.45 to 12.00

During the afternoon, the whole family can participate in our school activities.
